Definitions:
- "Polly" or the "Polly Platform" refers to both the Polly online portal and the Polly app, depending on the context.
- "Logopedics Ltd" is the company that provides the Polly Platform.
Data Collection and Usage
The Polly platform collects two types of information: Personal Data and Anonymous Data.
1. Personal Data
Personal data is information that identifies you as a user. This may include:
- Usage statistics
- Identifying information (e.g., name and date of birth)
- Therapy-related data (e.g., performance metrics and exercise scheduling)
We strive to minimise the collection of sensitive data. Personal data is used solely for the purposes of monitoring and evaluating the Polly platform and improving your experience.
2. Anonymous Data
Anonymous data is information collected without being linked to your identity. Once collected, this data cannot be traced back to you. This includes:
- Audio samples collected for AI predictions
To ensure privacy, audio data is recorded in short 256-millisecond segments, only when the embedded AI detects speech. The Polly app clearly indicates when the AI is recording. Received audio data is assigned a pseudorandom ID for anonymity.
Why We Collect Audio Data:
Audio data helps us improve the AI systems that power Polly. Audio samples may be reviewed by Logopedics employees for analysis and classification before being used for AI training purposes.
Payment Information:
We do not collect, store, or process payment information. Payments are handled exclusively by Stripe, our trusted payment processor. For details, please review Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Your Data is NOT Used for:
- Advertising
- Targeted marketing
- Activities outside the scope of this policy
Data Security
Your data is of the utmost importance to us. We implement robust technical and organizational measures to safeguard it from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no system can be entirely secure.
How You Can Protect Your Account:
- Use a strong, unique password
- Limit access to devices with "remember me" enabled
- Log out of shared or public devices
While we work to secure your data, maintaining good security practices is your responsibility to protect your account from unauthorized access.
Data Retention and Erasure
Retention Period:
We retain personal data as long as your account is active. Once your account is deleted, personal data is erased within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
Account Deletion:
You can delete your account by visiting this link: [Account Deletion Link]. After submitting a deletion request, your account and associated data will remain recoverable for 30 days. Following this period, all personal data will be permanently deleted.
Important:
Anonymous data, such as audio samples, cannot be deleted after collection due to its non-identifiable nature.
Data Sharing
Logopedics Ltd does NOT share Polly user data with third parties. We do not sell, rent, or use your data for advertising or targeted marketing purposes.
The only exception is payment processing, handled securely by Stripe. Logopedics does not have access to or manage your payment details. For more information, please see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
